How to effectively use Groovy Script in Mule 4?

There is a better way to do it than using the component which mule is providing. Try groovy maven plugins.

Use output application/java — write(payload.employee.name, "text/plain") to remove quotation in the vars.username result

not about mule4+groovy but rather about workaround the clumsiness of mule4
