Do you ๐Ÿค” know ? Kubernetes is an open-source platform for managing containerised workloads and services. It basically takes care of scaling and fail-over for your application running on the container.

What if we have to deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes on AWS Platform?
Amazon EKS helps to do all this!

  1. excellent. only one thing bugging me. why use root access keys? can we create an IAM user with restricted permissions?

  2. Suppose I install Nginx Ingress controller running on port 443, on this cluster and need to give access to users, what will be the destination IP/subnet range ? How I can define the pod network CIDR range? does it take/assign the one automatically?

  3. Hi Sir,Can you also make a tutorial on how to deploy Java Spring boot microservices with Eureka discovery and RDS connectivity on EKS ?

  4. love the explaination , clear concise and to the point ……………Thank you so much sir .๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

  5. I am quite confused.. In the diagram, it seems like we are using different VPC for the cluster and worker nodes. But in the cluster configuration and worker node configuration it seems like we are using the same VPC and Subnets. Please enlighten me

  6. Excellent !!!. Any videos for copying data from EKS Pod to S3 Bucket ??? ..Please help me, if any pointers or links.

  7. Hello Sir, could you please help me with the document that you have used in this video

  8. excellent video ….post watching this video i tried creating EKS cluster and its worked perfectly …Thank You for the excellent session on EKS

  9. I wish the cost for running eks was less. Hard for a personal account to justify $73/month for the eks (not including any ec2 costs). Was interested in running to practice deploying a few jobs and applications.

  10. I am following this video guide and according to it, I configured my aws-cli tool with the Secret Access Key ID and Secret Access Key of my root user. Anyway, when I issue the command

    aws eks –region us-east-2 describe-cluster –name k8s-book –query cluster.status
I am getting the following error:

An error occurred (AccessDeniedException) when calling the DescribeCluster operation: User: arn:aws:iam::896622344185:user/publishing-service-dev is not authorized to perform: eks:DescribeCluster on resource: arn:aws:eks:us-east-2:896622344185:cluster/k8s-book

My understanding is that the root user must have unrestricted access. Also, I don't get why in the command output instead of "root" user "user/publishing-service-dev" is mentioned. I don't have such as IAM user created. Actually, I do not have any IAM users.
