Advanced JMeter Scripting – Writing Assertions in Groovy

Apache JMeter™ assertions are components that enable developers to set criteria determining whether a response will be considered a “pass” or a “fail”. JMeter includes quite a few assertion elements for validating the sampler’s response, yet sometimes your validation decision might follow complex logic, and can’t be configured using the out-of-the-box JMeter assertions – scripting is required. This leads to the question: which scripting language to use?

This webinar recording examines why the Apache Groovy scripting language is great for writing concise and maintainable tests, and for all your build and automation tasks. The webcast includes:

– An introduction to Apache Groovy
– A comparison of using Groovy in JMeter as compared with other languages like BeanShell
– An on-screen demo of scripting JMeter assertions in Groovy
– How to take that script and run it in BlazeMeter with high scalability and real-time reports
